Hi. I use johoba oil and eucerin calming cream morning and evening for psorriasis . A couple of weeks ago I started tanning. I broke out in an inflamed itchy rash. Elbows Knesset and one side of one leg. I waited about a week for it to go away. I then tried it again. Same thing happened only worst. Neck, chest stomach included. Do you think it is from the oil and lotion I applied in the a.m.?
Barbara, some products in skin care can create a reaction between sunlight and the skin. However, there is nothing in Jojoba oil that would cause this reaction. I cannot say the same for the Eucerin cream because I don’t know the ingredients. Given that your skin is already challenged with the Psoriasis, I would be very careful about what you use on it. I have heard many people say that Neem Oil is very helpful for both psoriasis and eczema. I purchased some recently from Mountain Rose Herbs. You might want to mix 2 ounces of Jojoba with about 10 drops of the Neem oil and see if that helps your skin and leave out the Eucerin. Neem oil smells a bit like garlic so consider adding 10 drops of Lavender or Rosewood. Let me know how it goes!
