Periscope.tv is Twitter’s hottest new trend, and I’m beginning to use it to talk with you LIVE!
What is Periscope?
Periscope.tv (everyone says “scope” for short) is a new live video streaming site. You use the app on your iphone, ipad or android device and it allows you to do live video streaming from anywhere in the world at any time.
You can literally experience something through someone else’s eyes. You can also broadcast what you are doing live to the world so others can enjoy it too! Personally, I find it amazing to experience people from all over the world live in real time.
How does Periscope work?
It’s kind of like live internet television.
First you have to download the Periscope.tv app onto your device. Once you open it up you can just connect it to your twitter account and start watching Periscope live streaming broadcasts from around the world!
Anyone can use Periscope.tv; all you need is a phone or tablet and an internet connection. The app is free.
It is SUPER easy and POWERFUL.
Imagine this: I hit the “broadcast” button and you can watch me teaching live in my classroom or visiting a distiller? In fact, yesterday I taught a class at Pompeii Organics. Before the class I did a live scope introducing you to owner, Jessica Grill and gave you a tour of the shop!

They’re a little rough because I’m new at this, but I’m excited about the possibilities for sharing my aromatherapy and essential oil knowledge with you via this new toy! I can pop in and do an instructional video or a simple Q&A because… you can talk to me too via a live chat box! How cool is that?

2. Create your account or link to your twitter
3. Click on the 3 heads at the top to find the list of people you follow
4. Click the search icon in the bottom right, search for @LizFulcher

Can we listen to your audio podcasts using the periscope too?
Hi Gail, that’s a great question and I actually don’t know the answer. I don’t think so, but you can listen in iTunes, Stitcher and the website.
