If you use Gmail this is important.  If not, then just skip this post and go make a lovely blend instead. 🙂Gmail has changed the way your emails are organized by creating a new tabbed inbox. It splits your account into different tabs such as “Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates…etc.  Emails coming from me (and other folks you subscribe to) end up in your PROMOTIONS tab.
Below are instructions on how to fix it so they automatically go to your Primary tab.HOW TO MOVE EMAILS TO YOUR “PRIMARY” TAB:
1 – Click on the Promotions inbox tab.
2 – Drag any emails from people you actually want to hear from (hopefully, that includes me!) and drop them onto the tab that says “Primary” . Then, when it asks if you want future emails to go into your Primary inbox, just click yes!

For the next few weeks, be sure to check your Promotions inbox to make sure nothing else you really want is getting caught in it.

If you want to turn off the new tabbed inboxes totally , you can do that too.  Just click on “Settings” (the image of a gear) in the upper right corner of your inbox).  Click the “Inbox” tab and uncheck ALL of the categories except “Primary” then save your changes.

That’s it!

So what is your opinion of the new Gmail tabs?  Leave a comment below and tell me what you think!
